This casserole has everything a joyful dinner needs. Browned ground meat hidden under creamy sour cream and grilled cheese. Guaranteed merriment, no carbs.

As I recently have some time, I had been surfing on the internet last week. On the lookout for new, fascinating thoughts, inspiring dishes that I’ve never tested before, to surprise my family with. Hunting for a while unfortunately couldn’t discover any interesting things. Right before I thought to give up on it, I came upon this fabulous and easy dessert simply by chance. It seemed so fabulous on its snapshot, it called for rapid action.

It was not so difficult to imagine the way it’s created, how it tastes and how much my hubby might enjoy it. Actually, it is quite simple to keep happy the man when it comes to desserts. Yes, I’m a blessed one. Or maybe he is.Anyways, I got into the page: Suncakemom and used the step-by-step instuctions that were combined with nice pictures of the task. It just makes life rather easy. I could imagine that it is a bit of a inconvenience to shoot snap shots down the middle of baking in the kitchen as you may normally have sticky hands and so i pretty appreciate the effort and time she devote to build this post .

That being said I am inspired presenting my own dishes in a similar way. Many thanks for the idea.

I had been tweaking the initial mixture to make it for the taste of my family. I have to say it turned out an awesome outcome. They enjoyed the flavour, the thickness and enjoyed having a delicacy like this in the midst of a lively week. They ultimately asked for more, a lot more. Thus next time I’m not going to commit the same miscalculation. I am likely to twin the amount to get them happy.

Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it up

Place the sliced onion and salt in the pan and saute it on high heat until it gets a glassy / translucent look for about 3-5 minutes.

Turn the heat down and occasionally stirring start caramelize the onion until it gets a golden brown color.

Stir a crushed clove of Garlic and cook it until fragrant.

Mix the minced meat with the onion and stir fry it until all the pinkish color is gone and starts to brown. This takes about 10 – 15 minutes.

Cut up a cauliflower into pieces and slices then lay it on the bottom and sides of the baking tray. Also use the optional vegetables here.

Pour the stir-fried minced meat on top of the cauliflower bed.

Spread sour cream on top. If it seems too hard to pour add a bit of water but be careful as it gets runny quickly.

Optionally fill up some holes with the extra vegetables.

Sprinkle cheese on top.

Place it into the oven on 350°F / 180°C oven.

When the vegetables get the desired texture and the cheese gets the golden brown color in about 30 – 40 minutes take it out of the oven and let it cool.
